History: Juan Sánchez Tabernero founded the herd with cattle from Lorenzo Rodríguez, from whom Francisco Ramírez Bernaldo de Quirós acquired it in 1950. In 1953 it was presented in the name of his heirs, and in 1957 one of the lots was inherited by his daughter Isabel. In 1967 it was acquired by the Lozano brothers, who presented it as La Jarilla, changed the brand and expanded it with cattle from Eusebia Galache. In 1982 all the earlier stock was removed and the herd was rebuilt with females and breeding bulls from the heirs of Carlos Núñez, under the name Alcurrucén.
