- History
- When Don Nicanor Villa’s herd was divided, the share belonging to his daughter Doña Carmen Villa Lázaro was acquired in 1950 by Don Domingo González Dominguín, who registered it under his wife’s name, Doña Carmen Aparicio Alfayate. In 1954, Don José Bohórquez acquired it and registered it under his wife’s name, Doña Francisca Mora Figueroa. The brand was changed, all previous cattle were removed, and the herd was established with cattle acquired from his brother Don Fermín Bohórquez, of Urquijo origin. It was sold to Doña Belén Ordóñez in 1969 and acquired in 1981 by Don Antonio Gallego Romero, who changed the brand. Its current owners acquired it in 1990, adopted the brand used today and established it with “Manolo González” cattle, advertising it as Hermanos Astolfi. From 1999, it was advertised as “Astolfi”. Two breeding bulls were acquired from “Toros de Jarrama” in 2006, followed in 2007 by a selected lot of cows from “Manolo González”, of “Guadalest” and “Torrestrella” origin. In 2009, most of the “La Gloria” herd, originating from Don Daniel Ruiz Yagüe, was acquired, and all previous cattle were removed.
