History
Don Leopoldo Sáinz de la Maza y Gutiérrez Solana, Conde de la Maza, founded this herd in 1935 with cattle from Don Juan Belmonte. In 1938, he transferred it to his daughter, Doña Cristina de la Maza y Falcó. In 1940, it was expanded with a group of Gallardo cows and two breeding bulls from Juan Belmonte. It was sold in 1960 to Don José Cebada Gago and, following his death in 1964, entered under his heirs' name. All the cattle from Doña Cristina de la Maza were removed, and the herd was re-established with cattle from Don Carlos Núñez and Jandilla.
