History: The herd was founded in 1940 by Huberto Sánchez Tabernero with cows and breeding bulls from Sánchez Fabrés of Coquilla origin; cows and breeding bulls from Vicente Charro were added in 1945. In 1949 José Finat acquired it on behalf of his wife Casilda de Bustos y Figueroa, who presented it in her husband's name, ‘Conde de Mayalde’, changing its brand and colours. In 1958 she expanded it with half of the Sepúlveda herd, of Contreras origin, gradually removing the earlier stock. In 1986 and 1990 she acquired two breeding bulls from Juan Pedro Domecq, and in 1995 a group of cows from Francisco Medina of the same origin.
