About the breeder

Ribbon colours: Dark blue and yellow
Señal Oreja: Door-shaped earmark on the right and a split in the left ear
Estate: 'Mercês' BARRANCOS (Alentejo) PORTUGAL
Bloodline: Conde de la Corte and D. Atanasio Fernández.
Seniority: 12/04/1992
History: Founded in 1902 by D. Santiago Neches with Veragua cattle and Santa Coloma stud bulls, it passed successively to D. Ángel Rivas and D. Mariano Bautista Aristizábal. The latter’s widow later sold it to Nogales and Mejías, who expanded it with cattle from D. Graciliano Pérez-Tabernero. In 1938 the Vizconde de Garci-Grande bought it, changed the brand and removed the cattle he had acquired, replacing them with cattle from D. Juan Cobaleda of Conde de la Corte origin. In 1967 his heirs sold it to D. José Moro Jiménez, who sold it in 1971 to the current owners, with a change of brand.
