- History
- Around 1901, D. Andrés Sánchez Rodríguez established this herd with cattle from D. Faustino Udaeta, adding cows from Veragua and others from Carreros. In 1912, following D. Andrés's death, it was advertised under his children's names. In 1916 they added cattle from the Conde de Santa Coloma and the Marqués de Albaserrada, removing the previous cattle. In 1934, while the herd belonged to his son D. Francisco Sánchez de Coquilla, it was divided into four portions. D. Santiago Ubago acquired one lot with the original brand and ribbon colours. It later passed to D. Julio Garrido, whose heirs sold it in 1976 to D. Daniel Ruiz Yagüe. He increased it with a lot of females from Dª Eusebia Galache. In 1986 he removed all the previous cattle and established a new herd with 70 females and one breeding bull from Jandilla.
