History
The ranch was established in 1843 by D. Diego Hidalgo Barquero, crossing cattle of the Vistahermosa and Vazqueña castes. In 1850 it passed to D. Ramón Romero Balmaseda, who expanded it with cattle from the widow of D. Juan Cabrera. D. Rafael Laffite acquired it in 1862. It later passed to D. José María de la Cámara and then to the Marqués de Guadalest, who added a crown to the brand. D. Manuel Camacho Naveda acquired it in 1931 and sold it to D. Juan Belmonte, who registered it in the name of his wife, Dª Julia de Cossío. She sold it at the end of 1954 to D. José Aparicio and D. José Belmonte. They in turn sold it in 1966 to D. Pío Alcón and D. Andrés Sánchez Pastor, with the latter becoming sole owner in 1977. D. Luis and D. Antonio Domecq acquired it in 1986 and established the herd with 100 cows from Torrestrella. Dehesa de Juan Esteban, S.A. acquired it in 1990. From 1997, the brand's design was changed by turning it upside down. In 2003, Sety20, S.L. acquired the rights to the brand and all the cattle.
