History: Don José María Lancha founded the herd around 1928 with cows and breeding bulls from Don Juan Belmonte, of Gamero Cívico origin. He later added a lot from Don Esteban González Camino, which also carried blood from Pérez de la Concha, Félix Suárez, Villamarta and Francisco Molina. In 1954, he sold it to Don Celestino Cuadri Vides, who changed the brand and colours. The females from the latest cross were slaughtered, while those of Santa Coloma origin were retained. In 1973, he transferred the herd to his children.
