- History
- D. Joaquín Murillo Pizarro established it around 1940 with cattle from Dª María Montalvo. In 1948 it passed to his heirs, who sold it in late 1949 to D. Ignacio Rodríguez Santana. He sold it in 1958 to Dª Carmen Carmena Ortega, who in turn sold it in 1962 to D. Eugenio Lázaro Soria. In 1968, following the dissolution of the Soria y Peñato partnership, D. Eugenio withdrew his share and added it to this brand. He moved the herd to Salamanca and used stud bulls from D. Dionisio Rodríguez’s herd. It was subsequently sold to Monturque S.A., which changed the brand. In 1983 Kinlo, S.A. bought it, removed all the previous stock and rebuilt the herd with cattle from Herederos de D. Carlos Núñez. D. José Miguel Arroyo Delgado acquired it in 1987 and removed all the previous stock. In 2022 it was purchased by its current owner, who advertises it under the name D. José González Jiménez and has formed it with cows and stud bulls from Los Eulogios, El Tajo, La Reina, Garcigrande and Gómez de Morales.
