History
Don Gregorio Vázquez supplied bulls at the Real Maestranza in Seville on 21 and 23 April 1763, as recorded in the annals of the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla. After his death in 1780, his son don Vicente José Vázquez took over the ranch, removed all the previous stock and rebuilt the herd with cattle from the Marqués de Casa Ulloa, Bécquer, Cabrera and Vistahermosa. Following D. Vicente's death, King D. Fernando VII acquired it in 1830. After the king's death, the Queen Regent sold it in 1835 to the Dukes of Osuna and Veragua. In 1849, the Duke of Veragua, D. Pedro Alcántara Colón, became sole owner; on his death in 1866, his son D. Cristóbal Colón de la Cerda succeeded him. In 1910 it passed to his son D. Cristóbal Colón y Aguilera, who held the same title and sold it in 1927 to D. Manuel Martín Alonso. In 1930, D. Juan Pedro Domecq y Núñez de Villavicencio acquired it and added two groups of two-year-old heifers and four breeding bulls from the Conde de la Corte. From 1937 it was advertised as ‘Hijos de don Juan Pedro Domecq’, under the direction of don Juan Pedro Domecq y Díez, who expanded it with cattle from don Ramón Mora Figueroa's ranch. These came from D. Francisco Correa and García Pedrajas, and Mora Figueroa had added breeding bulls from the Conde de la Corte and Gamero Cívico. Don Juan Pedro, in turn, sold all the pure Veragua stock and most of the Veragua–Conde de la Corte cross, retaining only a few exceptional cows. More females from the Conde de la Corte were acquired in 1939. When D. Juan Pedro Domecq y Díez died in 1975, his wife and children inherited the ranch. In 1978 the original brand and part of the herd passed to his son D. Juan Pedro Domecq Solís, who added 0 cows from D. Salvador Domecq y Díez. Following D. Juan Pedro Domecq Solís's death in 2011, the ranch passed to his son D. Juan Pedro Domecq Morenés, who would merge the Parladé ranch with that of his father, D. Juan Pedro Domecq Solís.
