History
The herd was established in 2000 under Article 5 bis b) of the statutes, with 71 cows and two breeding bulls from Puerto de San Lorenzo. In 2008, all the cattle were removed and 70 cows were acquired from Doña Mª Loreto Charro Santos, of Aldeanueva origin. Subsequently, 80 cows and several breeding bulls from Monte La Ermita, of Jandilla–Torreón origin, were added. Both lines were kept separately. The Aldeanueva line was later removed.
