- History
- The herd descends from the lot allocated to Dª María Gallardo Santos in 1948 when the herd of her father, D. Ramón Gallardo González, was divided. In 1949 it was acquired by the Quintanilla Vázquez family, who bought a lot of cows and a breeding bull from D. Joaquín Buendía in 1950, as well as another lot of females from D. Luis Ramos Paul and a small group of cows from D. Romualdo Arias de Reina. In 1960 it was acquired by Dª María Pallarés Redondo, who changed the brand and increased it with cattle from the herd of her husband, D. José Benítez Cubero. In 1980 the herd was advertised under the name D. José Benítez-Cubero Pallarés, in 1985 under Hermanos Benítez-Cubero Buendía, and from 1995 under Pallarés.
