History
The herd was established by Don Rafael José Barbero with Jijona cows and Cabrera breeding bulls, and acquired from him in 1870 by Don Rafael Laffitte y Castro. In 1885, it was sold to Don Carlos Conradi, who transferred a large part that same year to Don Felipe de Pablo Romero. It passed to Don Felipe de Pablo-Romero y Llorente in 1906 and, after his death in 1943, to his children. From 1944, it was advertised as D. José Luis y Herederos de D. Felipe de Pablo-Romero. In 1956, a family company was formed, with Don José Luis de Pablo-Romero appointed manager, and the herd began to be advertised as Hijos de Pablo Romero. His son Don Felipe succeeded him in 1975, and following Felipe’s death in 1979, management passed to his brother Don José Luis. From 1986, it belonged exclusively to Don Jaime de Pablo-Romero y Cámara. In 1997, Partido de Resina, S.L. acquired the entire herd, retaining all the cattle, brand, seniority, earmark and colours on the same estate.
