- History
- The herd was founded in 1929 by D. Ángel Rodríguez García with cattle from Martínez. In 1943 it passed to D. Lorenzo and D. Emilio Rodríguez Pacheco, who sold it in 1975 to D. Enrique García de la Serna. In 1985 it was acquired by D. Sancho Dávila Iriarte, who had made the name “Sancho Álvaro” popular as a matador in the sixties. He changed the brand, using the same design his father had once used as a breeder in the Unión. He removed the previous cattle and established the herd with cows and breeding bulls from Maribel Ybarra.
