- History
- One of the shares created by the division of D. José Anastasio Martín’s ranch, the part belonging to Dª María Martín Carmona, was sold to D. Enrique Caballero, from whom D. José García Barroso acquired it. In 1948, it was purchased by the heirs of D. Luis Caballero Florido, who sold it in 1953 to D. Ramón Vázquez de Troya; in 1968, he sold it to Dª Paz Martín de la Concha. In 1972, D. Salvador Domecq y Díez acquired this new brand and eliminated the cattle that came with it. He registered the ranch as Hermanos Domecq Sainz de Rozas and established it with cattle from his Toros de El Torero herd. In 1998, he transferred the brand to his son, D. Salvador Domecq Sainz de Rozas, together with a small group of selected cows and a breeding bull. At the end of 2002, the herd was expanded with the cows and breeding bulls allotted to him from his father D. Salvador Domecq y Díez’s ranch. The cattle graze on the emblematic El Torero estate in Vejer de la Frontera, Cádiz.
