Claudio Moura, who added several Conde de la Corte stud bulls. Following D. Claudio’s death in 1956, it was bought by D. Diego D’Affonseca Passanha, later passing to his daughter Dª María Passanha and then his grandson D. Joaquín Sobral. The herd grazes on estates bordering the Guadiana River in the municipality of Beja. In 2001 four Torrestrella stud bulls were added. Álvaro Domecq Romero, who bought 60 Torrestrella cows and retained 60 cows of Jijona origin from D. Joaquín Sobral. In 2006 all cattle of Jijona origin were removed.
