- History
- In 1927, Don Bernardino Giménez acquired Don Damián Flores’s herd, established with Jijona cattle crossed with Veragua. In 1941, he acquired a lot of cows and two breeding bulls from the Marqués de Villamarta, thereby establishing the herd and changing the brand. In 1948, he acquired a lot of two-year-old heifers and two breeding bulls from Don Clemente Tassara, of the same origin. Following Don Bernardino’s death, a lot of females and breeding bulls passed to his daughter Amparo. A breeding bull from Don Samuel Flores was added in 1968. In 1976 and 1977, Doña Amparo and her husband Don Juan Valdemoro bought two lots of cows and breeding bulls from Don Antonio Méndez, of Urquijo origin, followed in 1988 by a breeding bull from Don Jesús Trilla carrying the same brand. From 1992, under Article 6 of the statutes, Doña Amparo Giménez Ortega became sole owner. Following her death in 1996, ownership passed to her children, Mª Dolores and José María. In 2005, the Valdemoro siblings bought a lot of cows and two two-year-old males from Don Manuel Ángel Millares, of Jandilla origin.
