Montalvo opens the Acho corridas with three matadors who place their own banderillas
Actualizado el
El Fandi, Jesús Enrique Colombo and Ismael Martín open the bullfight section of the 2026 Feria del Señor de los Milagros. Acho has announced six Montalvo bulls for an afternoon featuring three matadors who place their own banderillas.
Ismael Martín’s debut at Acho
One attraction is Ismael Martín's debut at the Lima bullring. The Salamanca-born bullfighter arrives after two years of appearances at various Peruvian bullrings, according to the Cultoro interview reported by SALAMANCArtv al Día. His previous experience in the country now leads to an engagement at Lima's principal fair.
The official poster places El Fandi first, followed by Jesús Enrique Colombo and Ismael Martín. For this first corrida, the promoter has announced Montalvo, Juan Ignacio Pérez-Tabernero’s ranch based in the Salamanca countryside.
A fair with eighty years of history
Acho is in the Rímac district and was inaugurated on 30 January 1766. It hosts a fair celebrating its eightieth anniversary in 2026: the first edition began on 12 October 1946 with Manolete, Luis Procuna and Alejandro Montani.
The current programme comprises one novillada and five corridas, ending on 1 November. The event on 18 October is the first corrida in that subscription series, following the novillada scheduled for the previous day. The subsequent dates are 24, 25 and 31 October and 1 November.
