The Silverio Pérez bullring in Fábrica María, in the municipality of Otzolotepec, hosts the Novillada Nocturna de las Luces on Saturday 31 October. Organised by Unión Deportiva de Fábrica María, the evening honours the Virgen de los Dolores.
Four novilleros face De Haro cattle
César Ruiz, Gustavo García “El Solito”, Alan García and Jairo López make up the bill, facing four De Haro novillos. The evening brings together four aspiring matadors at an event advertised as part of the 500th anniversary of bullfighting in Mexico.
Before the bullfighting begins, the traditional procession of the Virgin is scheduled to cross the candlelit arena. This ceremony and the evening setting distinguish the celebration; the poster gives a 19:30 local start.
