Highlights from Valencia on 16 July 2026: Román, Nek Romero and Olga Casado

Valencia’s July Fair began on 16 July 2026 with a mixed bullfight for Román, Nek Romero and Olga Casado. Bulls from José Enrique Fraile de Valdefresno and young bulls from Montalvo were fought in the opening event of the season-ticket programme. Román and Nek Romero each won an ear, while Olga Casado made her debut at Valencia’s bullring and finished without trophies.

Román took a lap of honour after his first faena and earned an ear in his second. Nek Romero received an ovation for his first appearance and cut an ear from the fifth bull. Olga Casado met with silence after both her young bulls. The event opened a series that continued with corridas on 17 and 18 July and concluded with the novillada on Sunday 19.
