Ferrera and Román, two Madrid winners facing Adolfo Martín bulls
Sunday's head-to-head features Antonio Ferrera y Román with bulls from Adolfo Martín. Both return to Las Ventas after being carried out on shoulders this season, although under different circumstances. Ferrera opened the Main Gate on 31 May against this same breeding ranch: he cut an ear from the fourth and another from the sixth on an afternoon when he ended up fighting all six bulls after Paco Ureña’s serious injury.
Román was carried out on shoulders on 6 June after cutting both ears from Gallarete, the third bull in the Victorino Martín bullfight. The October lineup thus brings together two recent Madrid successes and entrusts the event to two matadors, with three bulls planned for each. The response of the Adolfo Martín lot and how both matadors handle it will be the key points to follow in Sunday's broadcast.
