What time does the 12 October event start?

The opening procession is scheduled for Monday 12 October 2026 at 17:30 at Las Ventas, Madrid. That is 16:30 in the Canary Islands. Telemadrid and CMM announce broadcasts from 17:30; À Punt also confirms live coverage, although it does not publish a separate broadcast start time.

Where to watch on TV and online

Telemadrid will broadcast the event free-to-air from 17:30. To watch online, you can access the Telemadrid's live broadcast when the broadcast date arrives.

CMM also lists the Corrida de la Hispanidad at 17:30. Su official live stream shows the channel’s general programming and will carry the event while it is being broadcast.

Morante and Aarón Palacio's confirmation of alternativa at the Hispanidad

The Corrida de la Hispanidad brings together Morante de la Puebla, Héctor Gutiérrez y Aarón Palacio with bulls from Garcigrande and Núñez del Cuvillo. Palacio’s confirmation of his alternativa gives the afternoon special significance: it will be his Madrid debut as a matador. Morante will be his sponsor and Héctor Gutiérrez the witness at the ceremony, one of the moments worth watching from the start of the broadcast.

For Morante, Monday is another stop after the corrida in Valencia on Friday the 9th, where he is billed alongside Roca Rey and Tomás Rufo. In Madrid, both the trio of matadors and the breeders change, with two brands on the poster. Héctor Gutiérrez and Aarón Palacio therefore share a major late-season date at Las Ventas, closing three consecutive televised days on 10, 11 and 12 October.
